cruise junky joan Posted April 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2004 Some time ago I read a review on this board that recommended a few specific table numbers for dinner on the main floor. Does anyone remember this post or can you recommend a large table on the main floor that wasn't off in the stratosphere? Although we are a party of two we usually like to sit with a large group in the hopes of finding another couple to pal around with during the cruise. Winchester Posted April 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2004 I don't think a single table number will help you all that much. Just ask for a large round table on the bottom layer. There really aren't all that many. TOOOOOOO many of the tables in this dining room are the Carnival (or look at olde tourist class dining room pictures) the long thin type where couples sit across from each other. That's another thing Carnival/Cunard will have to fix as time goes on. I'm with you preferring to sit with a big ROUND table of happy folks when I go to sea. susie-bill Posted April 9, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2004 Tables#78,79,80,84,85,86 are round tables for six under the three deck high dome on the Lower Restaurant Level (Deck Two). Tables 67,68, 87,88 are oval tables for eight just to the side of these tables for six but are not directly under the dome. (The Captain's table is #82). These center tables seem to have particularly good waiters, wine stewards, etc. Hope this is helpful. We were just on the QM2 and found the food and service in the Britannia to be excellent! Have a great trip!
