Scuba or Snorkle@Stingray City Grand Cayman?

Recommended Posts

Seems everyone recommends snorkling or standing on the sandbar at Stingray City. As a certified diver I really want to scuba dive but I also don't want to miss out on what looks like the best excursion anywhere.

So what do you recommend for me?

We have been twice.... Scuba'd both times....
Our tales were a lot better than the snorkelers and waders.... also less crowded....

On our summer trip we dropped right out onto Princess penny's pinnacles and then came back in for Stingray City....Daughter loved it

November dive was too rough to get out of reef and spent two hours playing with the rays....

SCUBA

If you can't laugh at yourself, then don't get up from the chair.

The reason everyone raves about snorkeling at stingray city isn't because snorkeling there is the best way to see the rays, it is because those poor souls aren't certified and snorkeling is the only choice they have. They don't know what they are missing.

Ya gotta dive it!
