Purchasing a Rolex

A few years ago, we were burglarized and my TAG/Heuer watch was stolen. I figured I’d replace it on the cruise. We stopped in Grand Cayman, Cozumel and somewhere else and I found that the prices were about the same as at home. I think bargain watches, jewelry and certainly cameras and electronics no longer exist in the Caribbean. At least not to the same degree that they did in the 80s and 90s.

I purchased a Submariner in Cozumel several years ago. There is one Authorized Dealer in town and I do not remember the name. They are on the main street and you can't miss them. Not a huge selection compared to St. Thomas and other places. All prices about the same. Will save some US taxes if you don't declare it but I would be careful. Legit Rolex at this place but I would not purchase any where else than this Authorized Dealer.
