SteelerFanXL Posted June 25, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted June 25, 2009 That would be the game. I will be on the Emerald October 18 and they are having a slots tournament. Not sure what that is all about or how to go about entering but hopefully they will have games that I am familiar with. thanks

You could shoot an email to the cruiseline and someone would be able to find out for ya. As for how the tournament works, here is some great information that will tell you about it and gives you some pointers. Make certain your read all the parts. This link only shows you Part 1. retnuh281 Posted June 26, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 26, 2009 Not sailed princess, but the slot tourneys on RCCL and Carnival are the same. They will have a block of machines set aside for the tournament, you do not get to pick what machine you want. Buy in is usually $20.00, and they wil have between 6-12 players go at once. When I played there was about 50 people signed up. There is a time limit and you just hit your little button as many times as you can to get as many spins in as possible. Whoever has the highest payout at the end wins the pot or a portion of it. I believe they pay the top three. On Carnival everyone had their turn, and the top 6 played against each other to determine the winner. Makes it last longer I guess.
triple7tahoe Posted June 27, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 27, 2009 There is a bank of 5-12 machines which are usually .25 machines. They are converted by a key to tournament play. $20 entry fee is normal. Each person is given 300 credits which equals 100 spins (No time limit). Usually the top five scores plus one wild card (drawn from non-winners just before the finals) compete with another 100 spins. Top score wins whatever the prize (usually $500) of the day is. On our last cruise there were not enough interested participants to hold the tournament. Casino Host tried a "free" tournament with T-shirt prizes in hopes of drawing a crowd to play in casino while waiting. I do not know if he was really successful or not:confused:
casinovisitor Posted June 28, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 28, 2009 Slot tourneys on Princess 20 bucks to quality...you can try to qualify as many times as you want to shell out the 20. You play your 300 credits and try to make the leader board. They have 5 leaders and a wildcard for the finals...winner gets 500....losers get stuff...jackets, tee shirts, tote bags, key chains...although they are getting cheaper....on our cruise in April on Grand...losers got nothing. The casino host on that ship was less then personable. On our 6 Princess cruises my husband came in 1st twice and myself once. We have also done very well at bingo. Mutt & Jeff Posted February 4, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 4, 2011 I am going on the Grand Princess in couple of weeks. Any machines that stand out? I have seen other Princess ships that one or two machines really stood out when it came to paying out. thanks
Mutt & Jeff Posted February 5, 2011 #9 Share Posted February 5, 2011 I see maybe $150 there - How much did it cost you ? I know that it can be expensive. The machines can cost up to $75 -$90 if you use them instead of paper. thanks
