Tampa Docking

Hi,

We were on the Miracle 1/16 - 1/23. Embarkation was really messed up due to a tanker that was late getting out. The channel is very narrow and there is no way Miracle can get in if there is another ship at the turn. We were bused to another dock about a ten minute bus ride away. Debarkation was at the normal terminal so getting off was a breeze. We had an early flight as well. They considered anything before 1 PM as early. Just go to the pursors desk, show your proof of your flight and they'll give you new "VIP" tags for your luggage. You can do this at any time. You don't have to wait for the debarkation talk. "VIP" passengers got off before self assist passengers.

However the passengers getting off on 1/16 had to be bused, then pick up they're luggage. Hopefully this is a rare occurence.

I know that yesterday the Miracle didn't dock at the pier at Channelside. I don't know what is going on but the Port Authority needs to get this straightened out.

I can't believe the @&!$#* excuse for civic management in Tampa (as well as the so-called Port "Authority" there) let that nonsense go on for a second week. Sounds like it's time for some serious some "steam cleaning" of both.

Miracle is headed to Jacksonville for the superbowl.

We know that's where it is now.

But we also know it was returning from the 1/23 seven day Western Caribbean cruise yesterday.

So the fact it didn't dock at the Channelside terminal on Sunday 1/30 (as confirmed by the post from cruiserlisa) is evidence of nothing other than -- guess what -- another diversion to Hooker Point because of a oil tanker at the CITGO terminal in the channel.

In fact, this is confirmed by the trip report from a passenger on that cruise, link below:
