jperrault Posted March 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2005 I have an IM med that needs to be refrigerated (not frozen). I don't think an ice bucket will do the trick. Does anyone else have experience with this problem. Is there an infirmary on the Windsurf?
sandbag7 Posted March 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2005 I just returned from a trip on Wind Spirit, which I understand is a sister ship to Wind Surf; each cabin has a refrigerator which contains bottled water and the like. Would this do the trick for you?
sandbag7 Posted March 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2005 Oops; I guess Windsurf is not the same as Wind Spirit, so you should check on the refrigerator.
johnnycruise Posted March 21, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2005 Each cabin on the WindSurf has a mini-bar/refrigerator. We had the steward empty it the second day of the cruise and he obliged without question. It cooled our six-packs of Coca-Cola well. I doubt it would be strong enough to freeze anything, though. There is an infirmary on the lowest deck. I stopped by just for Tylenol and a Band-aid one day (gratis) so I only saw its reception area. On our sailing there was a physician and a nurse. I believe they had a lot of free time since I never heard of anyone going to see them (but we saw them at dinner all the time). They have very limited office hours but I'm sure they're available 24/7 in case of emergency. The doctor and nurse probably spend most of their time tending to the crew.
