Has anyone been to Porto Veccio?

This will be our last stop on the August 21 Nice to Rome cruise. I've heard it's pretty touristy there. Any responses? Other suggestions for the area? What about Bonifaccio? Is it hard to reach?

Not much there-just a port and two years ago it was nearly impossible to get a taxi to take us to one of the nice beaches. up the hill from the port is a cute little town but it is not enough to occupy the entire day. your best bet is to sign up for one of the excursions offered.
