Embarkation lines assistance

Although I'm not sure I qualify as a disabled cruise traveler, I do need assistance. I suffered a stroke as well as underwent open heart surgery this year. I'm mobile, but still weak at times and have difficulty walking or standing for any period of time. I prefer to be ambulatory, although I do use a cane for assistance. My question is -- when I relayed this information to Carnival for my upcoming cruise on the Conquest out of Galveston, they told me a particular person to ask for that will epedite the boarding process. I just don't know where in the terminal I'll find this person, I'd hate to have to stand in line to find someone that's supposed to help me bypass some of the lines. Anyone know how this is normally handled? Thank you.

Once you get upstairs to the room where they process the documentation, explain to one of the Carnival reps that you can not stand for long periods and need special assistance, they should point you in the correct direction.

When we were there in August, it was the desk on the left side of the room.
