Car Rental in Tampa

Has anyone rented a car in Tampa? Can it be dropped off at the port? We are hoping to pick it up at or near the airport and drop it off at the port. Is this possible? Thanks

I cruised out of Tampa last year, it is only about 8 miles to the port, from the airport. We rented a car from Budget for one day and drove around then returned it to budget at the airport and took a cab to the port, only $18, that was last year. I would do the same thing again. Hope this helps.
