Restraunt called Metropol

Metropol features Cuban-Puerto Rican fare. It has an extensive menu at reasonable prices. It's a favorite with the locals as well as tourists who enjoy and are not averse to trying the local cuisine.

A couple of items on the menu are "samplers" of cuban food and include but not limited to, the rice and black beans, fried ripe plantains, yuca, etc. It's all very tasty and filling.

This is not a "fancy" or pretentious place when compared to big hotels or gourmet restaurants. However, the servers are quite professional and courteous.
When we visit the island, my son insists on stopping there as soon as we leave the airport (which usually is around lunch time). It is usually packed with "business-type" as well as "touristy-looking" people. LOL
