rothsix Posted April 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2004 On a short cruise (4 day), does anyone know what the dress and menus would be? Do they do a formal night? Thank you. Druke I Posted April 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2004 Took two night coastal last year on Coral Princess - one formal night - although most gents wore dark suit. Menu standard Princess fare. Taking three night coastal up Left Coast in May on Sun Princess, presume same will hold true. Michael
dorotha Posted April 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2004 On the Coral Princess 2 night from SF to Vancouver, there is one formal night and one smart casual night. We went last year and it helped it seem more like a real cruise--it hooked us, anyway--we're on the Sapphire Princess June 27! Our daughter and her husband (who swore you'd never find him on a cruise ship) have been looking at my full scrapbook and are booked on this year's SF-Vancouver trip. I think he realized you can't find a better deal for a quick but wonderful vacation.
pocka Posted April 2, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2004 Also going on the May 1 LA to Vancouver. Is formal nite "champagne pyramid" formal?? Did the women dress up in long dresses or short cocktail numbers? Great little getaway when two days off work is all you c an manage. Thanks, Pocka
Druke I Posted April 2, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 2, 2004 Pocka I think "short cocktail dress" much more in evidence than long formal gowns, which are not as common as they once were. My wife wears either the former, or dressy dark slacks with light blouse, or somesuch. Michael

West Coast Posted January 16, 2005 #7 Share Posted January 16, 2005 Sorry to say, but the short re-po cruises (2 and 3 night) do not have the Captain's Welcome, Past Cruiser or Champagne Waterfall events.
