balconies and sun

Hi

We are going on Caribbean Princess in June, we have a standard balcony cabin. Can we expect any sunshine on the actual balcony? My guess is that we wont due to the shadow from the balcony above?

On the pictures I have seen it looks like on the first few inches gets some sun on it?

We are doing an eastern caribbean cruise, is there more chance on the left or the right or doesnt it work like that??
