s.s. Rotterdam

Recommended Posts

From a reliable source in Poland, I received following information:

According to the biggest Polish newspaper, Gazeta Wyborcza, the s.s.

ROTTERDAM will be restored at the Gdansk Shipyard (Stocznia Gdanska).

Mr. Stanislav Koltarz, manager of Imtech, has confirmed this news.

General director Andrzej Jaworski of Stocznia Gdanska, also confirmed

talking about the restoration of the s.s. ROTTERDAM at the shipyard. They

agreed that the asbestos will be removed by specialists (not from the yard)

and that it will be stored outside Poland.

The cost is estimated at 25 mln Euro.

Stocznia Gdanska is a historic place as Solidarnosc has its roots at this

shipyard.
