nckvilledudes Posted June 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2006 Booked a reg 8F balcony on the Carnival Legend verandah deck. Can anyone tell me if its a good size balcony for 2 people or cramped and cant move around.? Would an extended balcony have that much more room??? Just wondering if 2 people would find a reg balcony just fine size wise??? Thanks. Dan

Steve8 Posted June 5, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 5, 2006 Serene 56, I see you were in cabin 6264 on the Legend. I was just thinking of booking that one and was wondering if you would recommend it? I have booked balcony guarantees on both of my other cruises and have had nice upgrades, the first we were upgraded to a suite and the second we were on the Panarama deck so I am a little uneasy about booking a specific cabin. Any advice would be appreciated.
serene56 Posted June 5, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 5, 2006 Considering my first 4 cruises i was not ever upgraded - not even one deck- i pick my cabin now. I dont think i like not knowing where I was gonna be and dont like taking the chance of being somewhere that I know I wont like. (although on most ships it doesnt matter) I also book my cruises over 15 months in advance and swear that is why I dont get upgraded-- people who have paid the most get upgraded first. I like the aft-- I prefer the aft after having a side balcony on the Liberty last cruise. I hated it and its not for me. The balconies on the aft are bigger then the sides. The balcony allows me to see both sides..and if I am lucky the ship backs into port and I can sit on my balcony and watch the people hurry back to the ship. SOmetimes it pulls in and I see water. The balcony is warm and we dont get oceanbreezes but the hall is quiet as people do not go where they dont have to. Its a longer walk to the stairs but on each cruise I have not gained anything The cabins are basically the same size as what you can get on the side. serene56 Posted June 5, 2006 #8 Share Posted June 5, 2006 Dan-- there are thousands of photos on this site.. have you checked out cruiseclues?? http://cruiseclues.com/shipstips/carnivallegend.htm I looked on webshots and didnt find anything.. I ran out of time Try this-- www.google.com type in carnival Legend and the cabin # and see what you get.. try various cabin #s to see if ya get any hits. do the same on www.webshots.com I found it funny today that most people do not take photos of their balcony and if they posted them its only of the wrap around ones.
