Parking at Port of New Orleans

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Should we use the official parking lot or nocruiseshipparking.com? They advertise a cheaper daily rate for sheltered parking that's only 2 minutes further away than the official parking lot and our luggage would stay with us and the porter delivers our bags directly to our cabin.

I am wondering too.

Should I use a hotel with a park and crusie package, or should I just park at the dock?

Is one much faster than the other for getting gone?

Mzloolue - We chose option 3. We selected a hotel in New Orleans that offered free parking for our vehicle while we're on the cruise. Holiday Inn Select for $129.00 for one night includes free parking for the duration of the cruise which would cost me $112. through the official pier parking. That leaves the cost of the hotel at $17. for the night. Not a bad deal.

We are staying at the holiday inn select in Dec for a cruise on the sun. please let me know how your experience with the park and cruise package is.
