The Carnivale!!

Recommended Posts

This is my first post on Cruise critic. My wife and I have cruised 18 times together. Our first cruise was on the Carnivale in the 70's. Does anyone know what has happened to this glorious ship! Thinking back, it was so large then and would be so small now. We had a great time even though our room was small with bunk beds and our bathroom doubled as "the full shower" LOL!! Is it still afloat?? Just wondering!! Thanks!:)

Here's a mini-history from the World Shipping Society

- there's actually a photo essay of the Peace Boat's arrival in NY late last year (?), but I can't find it now (it's embedded in the society's web page). If I find it, I'll post it - I believe you may be able to recognize some of the original fittings from the photos.
