Seattle taxi: airport to port

Does anyone know whether carseats are required for taxis in Seattle?

We are travelling with 2 children (5 and 2.5).

Also, how much is the taxi fare from the Sea Tac airport to the port?

We'll be going on the Diamond Princess end of August.

Any information you have for us would be great.

A taxi should be about $30. Shuttle express is $24 for 4 people. I don't know about carseats. In general carseats are required for children up to age 8 in Washington, but I don't know about "public" transportation.

Now that you mention it, I don't remember seeing car seats in taxi's.

Probably because they do take up space in the back seat meaning that someone would have to sit in the front seat. And if you have a lot of luggage, some of it may have to go in the front of the taxi.

Just wondering since Towncars are around $35+tip.

There are four adults and one toddler for our cruise in August. We booked a limo through Townepointe Limosuine Service for $45 airport to hotel and then $55 from pier to airport, plus 20% tip. To us it was worth it because we know it will be there waiting for us and we can all go in one car. There will be a lot of luggage b/w the five of us!
