Spa and Gym area on the CROWN PRINCESS

Recommended Posts

I am interested to know about the gym and spa facilities on the Crown princess. I just recently got off the new NCL Pearl and really enjoyed there gym. The spa area had a thalasso-pool and Tropical rain showers. It was truly an awesome set up. Please, if anyone can give me there own experience on the Crown's gym and spa I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks

Swimdog,

Please discribe the spa area on NCL Pearl please.

Did you have a sauna and steam room and was this Free of Charge or did you have to pay extra for this.

Is it CoEd or is there two one for ladies and one for gents.

Thanks.

No I have not been on Crwon Princess but have heard that the gym and spa area are quite good.

Crown Princess - I posted this last week in another thread...

22 Precor treadmills - C956i Experience™ Series

5 Precor elliptical crosstrainers - EFX546i Experience™ Series (fixed handles)

5 Precor elliptical crosstrainers - EFX556i Experience™ Series

2 Precor recumbent stationary bikes

2 Precor 'regular' stationary bikes

10 Reebok spinner bikes

Nearly every cable (not plate loaded) machine from the Precor Icarian Line plus

802 - Smith machine (plate loaded)

FTS - Functional Training System

2 full sets of dumbells with benches

Fitness balls, mats, step risers

Note, one major drawback of the fitness area on the Crown Princess is the low ceiling. At 6'4", I wasn't able to use the elliptical trainers as my shoulders were nearly touching the ceiling and I had the same problem on the treadmill with an incline over 5.

I can't comment on the Spa as I never use it.

I must agree with Bohemian. The gym facilities on the Crown Princess are great. I found the gym to be well equiped and very busy as there were times that I had to wait for a treadmill. I would suggest going early in the morning if you are an early riser. The dressing rooms are large and the steam and sauna are not co-ed.

Does anyone know about NCL's Thermal Suites? I know that they are not co-ed and they charge $15 per day but what are they? I called NCL and she could not tell me....strange.
