Express shuttle from Seattle to Vancouver

Which is easier and quicker to go from Seattle to Vancouver on a Sat night in August. The Express Shuttle or renting a car? Both would cost us about $100 US.

Take the Express Bus - why anyone would want to drive up I-5 with it's traffic and gridlock and general lack of views when you can have someone else do the driving is one reason but more importantly is the border crossing - it can be very busy northbound into Canada on a weekend - you don't state which saturday you will be arriving but this weekend is a holiday weekend in BC and there are fireworks display and gay pride celebration both of which attract a fair number of Seattle people - more fireworks the following Saturday evening. The fireworks display atttracts upwards of 300,000 people for the weekend shows especially if the weather is good and it is forecast to be dry for the next ten days or so.
The bus will use the truck crossing of the border and busses get priority in the lineup and through customs easier.
