Antarctic Peninsula Trip Pics...

Decent 5 batch Collection up on the Flickr site...I was pretty rigorous in my editing,

though the "berg pics" are numerous, :D .

The light is simply amazing, as in most shots the spectrum is filtered out except for the

blue(s) segment of the visible spectrum. Cameras were not high tech: my 5 yr old Canon

S50 and a more recent low budget Konica-Minolta 5D with my old Minolta film cam lenses.

I blew through about 8 Gigs of memory, but whittled the posted pics down to ~120 from 1400.

The enormous scale is very hard to capture in a frame; the crystal clear atmosphere helps.

My wife and I did this cruise last year. The slideshow brought back pleasant memories. We will be boarding Discovery April 3 for the Grand Amazon voyage and can not wait. Thanks for the awesome photos.
