I have had a response from Bonaire tours. We were interested in their Island Journey tour but if you reserve in advance they charge a cancellation fee if your ship does not make the port.

We have reserved private tours all over Europe and we never had the provision of a charge if the ship does not make port. In fact, it is relatively rare for be asked for a deposit for private tours and Bonaire tours is asking that the full amount be prepaid at the time of reservation.

I have told them I would be willing to pay a 50% deposit (we are just 4 people) with the deposit fully refundable if we cancel more than 7 days or if the ship does not come into port.

Unless my terma are met I won't book a tour with them.

They respond to info@bonairetours.com

Hope this info helps

I sent them an e mail about the Island Journey tour and it took them 6 weeks to get back me. By that time we had decided to go with the ship's tour- yeah I know we will overpay but at least it will be reliable.
