gr8togocruisin Posted September 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2009 One of the threads mentions taking a boat instead of a tour to get to Jalousie Beach. Has anyone done this? Where do you catch the boat? Cost?
sunseeker09 Posted September 15, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2009 I've asked about this too but haven't received any response. I've also searched all over the internet and can't find anything about water taxis. There are catamaran trips you can take through but none go to Jalousie. I did find a company where you can charter a boat for $500 (incl drinks and lunch). I'm sure they would take you where you want to go for that cost. That was for just two of us and out of budget, but if you have more people it might be worth while.
beerrun Posted September 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2009 I have not done the water taxi, but spoke with someone who did. It was around $60pp roundtrip if I recall. We just returned from St Lucia on the AOS and did Herods tour (which was fantastic!) that included about an hour at Jalousie. Wish we had more time there. Good luck! sunseeker09 Posted September 20, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2009 From what I understand, the water taxi only goes from Soufriere, so you still have to get there, which is $140 from the ship with Frank Charles, or listed as $160 return by taxi.
