sylteach Posted September 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2009 Just returned from a cruise on the Ryndam. The casino still has tokens and nickels as coins with all the slot machines. We never had to wait long for a machine and they had a lot of denominations-penny, 2 cent, nickel, 25 cent, $1, and a few $5 ones. The second night there I had to have my machines filled with more coins a couple of times and a couple of machines did not like my $5 bill. The manager came and fixed them for me-then he comped my daughter and I drinks. From then on, when I went back he comped us at least 1 drink per night. All the casino workers were very nice and even sat down with me and told me a little bit about their families back home. Some of the girls were from Romania. They had one session to learn about the table games. We entered the slot tournament (win $500), but did not get to the second round. I won $250 on a 2 cent machine and $200 on a nickel machine. Ovedrall I think the slots were fairly loose for this cruise. I did not play any table games-they had poker, roulette, and craps. Any questions?
