OrangeAndBlue Posted January 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2005 Here is the link for the wine list. I don't know if this is pre-order or you can get onboard. Found it on the NCL website... http://www.ncl.com/more/wine_list.htm
Another Cruise Addict Posted January 4, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2005 http://www.ncl.com/download/faxback/4800.pdf I don't know about Dom Perignon specifically, but my experience in general is that the vintages will vary by ship and by sailing, and sometimes even on the same cruise. On our most recent cruise, several of the wines on board were available in different vintages. But if you don't ask they won't check - they'll just give you the first bottle they grab. So if you are looking to cherry-pick the best year from a specific brand, be sure to ask what vintages are available.
scg6281 Posted January 4, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted January 4, 2005 thanks for the replies. Saw those list on the website, but not vintages listed... i guess this will just be a trial and errors process.
Philip217 Posted January 5, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2005 Cruise ships rarely list vintages. They would almost always be wrong. Due to the delivery system employed by most alcohol distributors, ships routinely receive a wide range of vintages of the same wines. Smart cruisers make friends with the wine stewards and sometimes get some great deals on older vintages that have been sitting in the back of the cellar.
