Kenny77 Posted January 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2005 Hello folks!...stumbled on this site while surfing around...I didn't realize how big the cruising community is! Anyhow, to my question...my wife and I will be cruising with Royal Carribean on the 22nd of Jan/05. We'll be arriving at New Orleans Louis Armstrong Intl that day...we did not purchase any transfers. Would anyone know the cost of a taxi fare to the port? Or if there would be a better mode of transportation? Thanks in advance!
Kokopelli Posted January 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2005 A few years ago it cost $20 from the Airport to the Pier. But this link is more up-to-date. See paragraph 2. http://www.cruisereviews.com/RoyalCaribbean/GrandeuroftheSeas50.htm
psychtobe Posted January 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2005 just back from New Orleans. You can get a shuttle transfer at the airport for $13 per person each way, or $25 per person round trip, or $45 for 2 people round trip. slightly less convenient than a taxi, but cheaper. getting back from the port this AM was a breeze - just hop on the chartered bus and from disembarking to unloading at MSY took less than an hour. the comparable price through the cruise line for 2 people was $72, and it uses the exact same service.
