Barcelona Day Tours vs. Pepito Tours

All we will be booking a tour in Barcelona and trying to choose between these two tours. Any recommendations for either?

Thanks!

We used Barcelona Day Tours in May for their half-day city tour. They were terrific. We were a group of 5 - would have been just 7 but one couple was a no-show. They will pick up and drop off at your hotel - which I considered a huge bonus. We went everywhere in the city and had a fantastic guide, Donald. He drove a late-model Mercedes van with great A/C! I would not hesitate to recommend them!

We are using Barcelona Day Tours on Sat. Heard they are terrific and I thought less expensive than Pepito. They are picking 6 of us up from the airport and charging us 49 euros each and then taking us straight to the hotel.

We used Peptito Tours last week and found Jose Soler to be one of the best guides we've ever encountered. Yes, he's expensive but worth every euro!

Keep in mind Jose is a tour guide only - he's there to personally escort you all around Spain. He has a separate driver who stays with the car while Jose walks with you and explains in detail the sights you are viewing. He's a wealth of knowledge (and speaks perfect English). We'll definitely use Pepito Tours again!

Have fun!

Sounds like both are a good option. We used Barcelona Day Tours 10/10 and they were excellent. They picked us up right at the airport, 6 of us with 9 pieces of luggage and carry-ons. Stayed with the van when he dropped us off at highlights of the city. I would recommd them to anyone.

it was expensive for one person for pepito tours; I opted to go on the HOHO bus; bought the ticket at hotel, but the line for the red bus was so long and it was in the middle of the afternoon, so I didn't go; I am planning another trip for Oct 31, 2010 and plan on taking the HOHO in the AM this time.

We were looking for a tour as well.

I contacted Barcelona Day Tours. they quoted me the following rates depending on how many people are booked for the mini-van:

2 people 109 euros each

4 people 69 euros each

6 people 55 euros each

We were thinking of using them to pick us up at the airport, give us a tour, and then drop us off at the hotel. We could then take a shower and head out to do a little more exploring on our own.

Is it safe to leave the bags in the van while we tour around the city? Any advice would be appreciated.
