HockeyDAD73 Posted April 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2004 Well if you have not bought one of these little beauties yet, do not wait. They are the best idea since some one thought about putting a pocket on a shirt. I just loaded 1550 songs and this little dude and he is ready for about 5000 more. I can not wait to put Jimmy Buffet on and sailaway. And if you have some small computer speakers, you can play this thing to your hearts content in your stateroom. It is awesome and I would recommend it for any X cruiser. Young or old. I pity my neighbors....just loaded ZZ Top and they sound great at full volume. sivia Posted April 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2004 You are so right about the IPod. My husband calls it the ultimate electronic audio toy. The Ipod is now our new travelling companion...one that doesn't take up too much space. We even have it hooked up in the car. Enjoy your tunes. Deb C. Posted April 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2004 I noticed they had the ipods on Zenith in the library to rent. Can you give me an idea of about how much they cost to buy? Thanks!!
sivia Posted April 13, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 13, 2004 The newer mini IPod is about $299. The regular version is a little more. You can check it out on the Apple website www.apple.com
Paul Schlosser Posted April 13, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2004 We love using our iPod on the ship, while on the beach...and on the airplane when traveling to/from the port. They're great!
T-sip Posted April 13, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 13, 2004 And if you want to have an even BETTER listening experience, you should consider the new Bose active noise reduction headphones...it absolutely obliterates almost all of the outside noise that you hear even with headphones on. They're fantastic, but (if you can afford it, or, even better, get as a gift)worth the $300 they cost. HockeyDAD73 Posted April 13, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted April 13, 2004 Funny you should mention those headphones, I am on my way tomorrow to pick up a pair....they sound great, and they eliminate all the outside sounds. I love technology. kyjd75 Posted April 14, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2004 I had my 20 meg 3rd generation iPod with me on the Summit (Christmas present from my wife!). It has to be one of the neatest gadgets of all time. I have placed my entire CD collection on it with room to spare, plus I've purchased several albums off the itunes website online. I even took it down to the Summit library one day to compare it to the previous gen. models for rent. The young librarian told me she was buying one at the conclusion of the cruise.
