It's too bad us, as gay men, always feel we need to bring more clothes than we actually need. Darrell and I have gotten into the habit of laying out all the clothes we think we're going to need on the bed and then begin to edit it down. Mix and matching different items that can pair well together, eliminating the need for extra pants/shirts which only go with one other item. We can usually put many pieces back into the closet and make whatever is left fit nicely into a bag each, plus one other smaller piece for shoes! And even though we carry less items with us we still manage to look fabulous throughout our vacation. I have to admit though that it is a bit of a challenge for 2 weeks, but without the formalities of sit down dining we should be able to fare quite well!

I don't envy you and the chore ahead of you to pack for 6 months. That, I would think, would take some time to accomplish.

Keep in mind, we will be with family in their home and they do have washer and dryer. so we won;t have to go to the river and beat our clothes on a rock :) In reality, we are taking only two weeks worth of clothing and can mix and match as we go along. We both were in the retail world and learned many "fashion tips" along the way. You have the right idea, though, and you will make out just fine. Naked in the stateroom for long periods of time saves wear and tear on the wardrobe also. :)

If your Baltic cruise stops at Copenhagen, and if we are in the area at the time, maybe we can connect while you are in port! Let's talk about it on the Sun.

Sounds good to us!! We begin the baltic cruise in Copenhagen, arriving the day before the cruise on August 27. Stops in Tallin, St.Petersburg, Stockholm and Helseinki.

Lambs2 is coordinating the Meet and Greet and you might want to contact her and let her know if you are gong.

Hi Tom,

We're already on the Meet and Greet and will do the gift exchange as well. Not sure we'll be doing the luncheon though.

So it seems there is a volcano in Iceland, whose name you can't spell or pronounce! Hopefully this will not interrupt travel plans from Dover. Since we are going on to Sweden, we are looking at alternatives such as ferries from Dover to France, then trains to our final destination. Feel very sorry for those who have to fly back to North America and hope they will not have to camp out at Heathrow! Good luck to all!
