Samana mini-speedboat adventure

My husband and I have booked a mini-speedboat excursion on our upcoming January Noordam cruise when we dock in Samana. The description states that there is a 250 lb. weight limit for each passenger. As my husband is teetering around that limit, we are concerned that they will weigh him and say he can't participate. We will share one mini-boat, and I am well under the weight limit. Has anyone had experience with this excursion? With the hoidays, he has made it clear that dieting is not an option! Thanks for any help.
