Marriott Biscayne Bay or Courtyard Marriott Downtown (2nd Ave.)

I originally booked Biscayne Bay thinking that we were arriving the day before the cruise at 11:30 am. upon further investigation we are actually arriving at 11:30 pm. So basically we will be sleeping and getting up to go to the port by 10:30ish. I checked with the Courtyard Marriott Downtown and their rate for the same room is $60 less. Is there any reason that I am missing to pay the higher rate for Biscayne Bay to sleep the night before. The map says that they are only about a 1/2 mile away so I wouldn't think the taxi fare to the port will be vastly different.

Any advice is appreciated--thanks so much!

Marriott Biscayne Bay is overall a nicer hotel(not saying Court yard is bad, just no frills) with great port views. Nothing close by.

Downtown Courtyard is a few blocks from Flagler for some last minute shopping before boarding. There is a CVS and Walgreens withing walking distance. Breakfast at Bayside could be a bit more affordable.

ABout the same cab ride to the Port.
