Sky Deck 5 question

Can you walk from the forward to aft elevators on Deck 5 (Atlantic) of the Sky, or is the Palace Dining Room in the way?

Our cabin is all the way forward on Deck 5, so i was wondering what would be the easiest way to get to the aft elevators.

You have to go up to floor 6 or higher, you can't go through the Palace dining room.

Thanks. That was what I was afraid of after looking at the deck plans. If we are going to the Palace for dinner, is the entrance on the forward or aft side of the dining room?

Has anyone stayed on international deck 7? They just moved me to 7103. I think right next to arcade. Should that concern me?

I haven't been on the Sky before, but I don't think I would want one of my cabin walls being against the kids club. Can you see if you can get moved to another cabin?

Do a fake booking and see what other cabins are still available. A little farther down the hall would be better. It will still probably be a fairly busy and loud hall with the kids club at the end of the hallway.

Yeah that is what I thought. I did not look at it until after I talked NCL. Why would they put me there? I just called to see if my price went down. He saved me $140 for same room, I had to move to different floor. That makes me mad. I have had this booked since June.

Call 'em!

I agree. I would call them back again and check on it. It never hurts to ask. You can also nicely as to talk to a supervisor if the first person can't help you. I have found with all the cruise lines, it all depends on who answers the phone.

They moved me further down the hall to 7313. I could of had oslo deck with no elevator 6112 but I don't know about that either. International is close to casino and some bars. I can easily stagger to my room.LOL. What do you think?

I'm glad they moved you. 7313

I haven't been on the ship before, but the Sovereign of the Seas (RCCL) had a little half deck like this and it was only like 5 stairs to get to an elevator.

6112 should be fine, but at the other end, you would be under the arcade which could be worse than being down the hall from it. To be honest, I have never had problems with noises from above, but I always try to book cabins that are below other cabins. On 2 of our cruises, I had a hard time sleeping due to parties going on in a cabin around us. With the size of the cabins (we always stay in interiors), it seems really weird to me that you would come back to the cabin to pary.

I'm sure you will be fine either way. Have a great cruise.

  • 4 years later...

Thanks for the heads up on this. I was assigned the exact same cabin so I phoned NCL (twice because the first lady wasn't very nice and wouldn't help me) and they have given me a free upgrade to a porthole cabin. Now I won't have to worry about kids running up and down the hallways and noise from the arcade.

I hope your cabin move was a good one for you!
