niborHS Posted January 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2005 We are currently booked in 6101, but our son is going to be in a room with our friend's son on deck 8. I noticed that 8127 is available, but is an accessible room. We are leaving on 2/20, and I was thinking of inquiring about changing rooms, so we would be on the same floor. Any thoughts on the differences between an accessible and non accessible room? I don't like to use tubs in a ship anyway, so that's not an issue. newtocc Posted January 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2005 I was thinking of inquiring about changing rooms. I've never been on a ship, but I don't think they have changing rooms, I think you have to get changed in your cabin! Hope this Helps!
niborHS Posted January 18, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted January 18, 2005 Sorry to have to explain what I meant, but didn't think our english was so different here in NY. I meant having my room changed from 6101 to 8127, I thought that was pretty obvious.
Donnaluv2cruise Posted January 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2005 I would definately change my room if I were you. We stayed right above that on The Constellation 2 years ago. If you were on deck 8 you could still use the srairs to get to the pool. So much faster then waiting for the elevators sometimes. Plus I think the higher you are, the better the view. We were upgraded to that room last time, so we hadn't picked a handicapped suite, so we didn't even realize the tub was missing. I don't think I would take the time out of a cruise to take a bath anyway. Although, I don't know when they actually release the handicapped rooms to non handicapped people. You'll have to check on that. :D Have a great time!
