No more smuggling?

Let me get this straight. It looks like the days of packing a case of beer in my suitcase are over, but what else cant I do? It looks like those rumrunners are also being confiscated. Can we still bring soda and water in our carryon? How about in out checked luggage? And what about wine in our carryon or checked? If I wasnt already booked, I would go to all- inclusive vacation spot. Cruising days might be over. Any help would be great.

Due to this, I broke down and ordered 2 bottles of liquor to have for sail-a-way.

We are on the Miracle in an aft-wrap balcony cabin on the February 16th sailing. I was going to bring them in the suitcase, but because of this I decided that I did not want them on the last day of the cruise as I would probably pass out and miss the plane the next morning.
