Swimming with Dolphins

Hi. DH and I will be cruising the Mexican Riviera in early April on NCL Star. I've seen a few posts that briefly mention swimming with the dolphins. I would LOVE to do that!!!! Any information you can pass along would be greatly appreciated. We'll be docking in Acapulco, Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo (longest stay in Acapulco). Thanks.

Sue

We recently cruised on the Vision and went swimming with the dolphins in Puerto Vallarta. It was great fun for my teen daughters (and for me, even though I am not very comfortable in the water). We went on a ship excursion, which included transportation to the dolphin center. It was run by Vallarta Adventures, which has an informative website. There are a few different options -- we did the "swim" and I think it was worth the extra money.

My husband went scuba diving through Vallarta Adventures and was also very pleased with them.

We just got back from PV and my daughters participated in the Dolphin Trainer for a Day excursion, It was worth every penny. It was more expensive than the swim but was all day and included lunch, dvd, picture, shirt. It also included a sea lion encounter and they got to go into the pool with the baby dolphins.

Mrsflydude- We just came back from our Star cruise to Mexico. We did the dolphin swim that NCL offers in Acapulco. It was AWESOME. We got a video and some great pictures we got to be in 2 different pools with 3 dolphins. Very close up experience! I have heard that this one in Acapulco is very good compared to some others at other ports. We were in the water with them for a good hour and our group was small, 10 people. This and the zipline in Puerto Vallarta were huge highlights for this trip. Have a great time and say hi to Junka (my favorite dolphin!) Marilyn
