Mellowtraveler Posted March 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2010 On an alaskan cruise in September we have and aft CC balcony. An aft FV corner is available now for 2 people to book. What do you think? Anybody been in 7202 recently? We always book and aft...is there more wind on the corners...?(Alaska and we don't want wind) Is the room more "tired" due to more use by families? Are the beds in CC really pillowtop or all beds the same? Not really worried about the other CC perks..already elite so we don't need the points... bikinibottom Posted March 2, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2010 We were on her this past August and had an aft cc - it was not a pillowtop bed. Our cabin did have some wear and tear and ALL of them have the older color scheme and could use some updating. We had a great cruise and loved our aft cc cabin (the perks were not the reason though). As far as 7202 - Brazilgirl (Kim) on here just got back from an Antarctica cruise in that cabin. She has a review posted here if you search for it. From the reports I have read people seem to love that cabin.
MrChuckFL Posted March 2, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2010 I would second the corner aft cabin. Aft is nice but I like to see forward as well. This gives you the best of both.
Mellowtraveler Posted March 2, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted March 2, 2010 Thank you both for the quick reply.... Question: Is there more wind on the corner aft room because it is open to the side?
Mellowtraveler Posted March 2, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted March 2, 2010 Thanks again for the speedy replies... We switched..we are now in 7202 FV. Looking forward to the adventure. Marty
Karynanne Posted March 2, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2010 The only way you'll "feel" some wind, is if you walk closer to the side railing. The corner aft cabins are just wonderful for Alaska. The views are amazing. You really feel that you a part of the scenary.
