booksl Posted January 29, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2005 Will be on the Lirica over Easter. Can anyone tell me if there are any religous services on board? Thanks for any help.
MikeWitte Posted January 29, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2005 Never saw any in the daily program on the 17 day crossing to Fll. I found it quite surprising as I would expect many of the filipino, madagascan and italian crew and italian passengers to be Catholic and at least a minister of that persuasion to be on board. czechmate Posted January 29, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2005 In these "politically correct" days a cruise line CAN and WILL be criticised for NOT providing facilites for EVERY religion if they provide for one! Forget interdominational! As my wonderful old Mum said "I do not need a particular place or TIME to be with my God - he is always wih me!.
jknezek Posted January 29, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2005 Opera had mass every day and it was listed in the program. also, there was a shabbat service on saturday for jewish passengers listed in the program. i do not remember seeing anything for protestant denominations but i'd assume they would accomodate as best they could. Lilabell Posted January 30, 2005 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2005 We'll be on Lirica for Ash Wednesday. I asked my TA about a priest being on board. She was told A priest would be on board but not sure of any services being offered.
