I dont smoke, but to assist those that will answer, you should list which brands you are interested in. Also bear in mind if the ship has the same brands, the will match any advertised price you find.

Can't give you an exact figure but consider them to be very cheap. Taxes are very low to non-existent depending on the port you go to, and the cost of cigs is mostly federal/state taxes.

Oh and also keep in mind there is a limit to the amount of cigs (cartons) you can bring back through customs. I had 5 cartons but told them I only had 1.. wasn't aware of the penalties for lying at the time. Probably better to just tell them what you really have and they'll still let you through... the tax you would owe is not worth their time to fill out the paperwork.

I know in St Thomas there is a cig store near the pier that carries many brands. $109 for 5 cartons, the amount allowed from US ports only.

I know they were very cheap in Cozumel and like you we bought more cartons than allowed back in but it seems as long as you are honest with customs we have never had a problem.

We had this discussion while we were in the Eastern, San Juan, St Maarten and St Thomas but I don't smoke so I didn't really pay attention. My friend said her sisters smoke and that was a really good deal.

i paid 109$ on board the destiny for 5 cartons of marlboros in jan. had no prob bringing them through customs

actually you can't pay duty on extra cigs; officially, they will be confiscated. you can pay the duty for extra alcohol...

In St Thomas they were $3/pk and $25 for a carton of name brand (Merit)
