Renting a Car in Corfu

I know this topic has been discussed recently, and I think we have decided to rent a car while in Corfu next month. However, there are 5 of us and I'm not sure all of us will fit in a 'mid-sized' European car! Has anyone rented from a company that rents slightly larger vehicles?

 

Also, any driving itineraries or maps out there?

We have a rental arranged for a Fiat dobolo with Corfu Sunrise for 6 of us. It was quite a bit more expensive at 110 euros for the day.

I had read in books that the roads were narrow and some hairpin curves where we were going so I settled on a compact for the 3 of us as it was a smaller target out there:)

Not a problem just where the ship docks in the terminal is a couple of renatl agencies. Yes the roads are narrow but driving is fun and the agency will tell you where to go. Get out of the city and experience the island.

Not only are some roads narrow, but some are also one lane only. These one lane roads have signal lights at the top and bottom to regulate the one lane traffic flow. So watch for them or you run the risk of having to back up or down the hill.
