Craftdee2 Posted August 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2010 We'll be in Toulon and were wondering if it's worth the time & money to go to St. Tropez at the end of November?
Rare Hlitner Posted August 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2010 Ahhh. Late November in the south of France. I can be cold, dreary and the "Mistral" winds can be blowing. On the other hand you might get lucky and have somethingsimilar to an Indian summer. But, as a general rule this is not the time of year to be in that part of the Med which is one reason why there are some very inviting cruise prices (and not too many cruises). We are not big fans of St Tropez which we think has lost much of its prior charm when it was the popular hang-out of folks such as Bridget Bardot. But whatever charms it has are certainly gone in late November when it is more like a Jersey Shore resort in the winter. Hank
Craftdee2 Posted August 13, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted August 13, 2010 Thanks Hank, I've spent maybe cold days at the Jersey shore, so I know what you mean!
Rare Hlitner Posted August 15, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2010 Thanks Hank, I've spent maybe cold days at the Jersey shore, so I know what you mean! Diito! We actually like the Jersey Shore in the winter (especially Cape May) and hope you find the same pleasure in the south of France :) Hank
