Greenock and Invergordon ports - what's in town near port?

Recommended Posts

If you dont want to do an excursion from greenock, then you can just go a wander into the town centre.. Theres a shopping centre (not a particularly big one though...). Theres also a cinema and a leisure complex place if you want to go ice-skating or something...

Or theres a small museum and art gallery (http://www.museumsgalleriesscotland.org.uk/member/mclean-museum-and-art-gallery )

Theres also a small castle in Port Glasgow (5 mins in a taxi), called Newark Castle.

Apparently when you dock at greenock theres usually a group of local volunteers giving info on the local area...

Just found this;

Yes there is a small shopping centre in Greenock which you could probably do in an hour.

Invergordon is just a handful of shops not any big shops or brands. There are buses into Inverness )not sure of the timetable) which is much better for shopping
