San Juan/Must sees & Independant tours?

Hi We'll be in San Juan from 12-8PM, are there independat tour operators for tours of the old city, or is this just someplace to walk around? I understand you're docked nearby, can you just walk from the ship, is it hard walking?

 

Is there anything you did that was just fantastic?

Yes there are Tour operators at the exit of the ship waiting to do bussisness at pier.If you dock a t the Panamerican Pier you'll need a tour bus or Taxi to get you around. But if you are at pieer 1- 4 you are at walking distance to the old historical city
