Legnd of the seas - Distant Islands

I am travelling on this cruise 7th May from Southampton.

 

I realise that Legend has not been sailing in Europe for a year or two, but am I right in thinking that the ship is having some work done to here prior to our cruise ?

I know she does a transatlantic run finishing in Portugal in April and then the next sailing is a four day mini cruise from Southampton on 3rd May.

 

Any up to date information on the ship, quality of service, comfort of cabins (we have superiour outside with balcony) etc etc, would be gratefully received.

 

Also what markets is this cruise being sold in ?

I just did a review from 12/26 to 1/9, i was not too impressed.

 

Dry dock is in that time frame right when it gets done with the transatlantic.

 

Food was avg cruise food across the board, nothing spectacular compartive wise.

 

Customer service was really bad in the pursers office.

 

I honestly don't think i will do anything under a Radiance class on RCCL again!

My experience with the Legend is already 1.5 years old but it was already my second trip on her and she is still one of my favourites. I was impressed on her good shape. Of course things may have changed within the last 1.5 years.

 

The summer cruises of the Legend out of Southampton are especially marketed in the UK to attract mostly the UK cruisers.

I honestly respect your opinion but I can´t see what food and customer service of the pursers office have to do with the class of ship :confused: :confused: .
