We were also on that cruise. Loved your pictures and kept looking for my family in them, because it seems your pictures were of places we were near. We had a GREAT time! We loved all of our ports and the weather was beautiful, despite the rough seas. In regards to the Liberty, we found the service was lacking in comparison with our previous cruises. We also felt that the food, unfortunately, was not as good as in the past. I'm guessing the lower prices (due to the poor economy) are causing Carnival folks to look at ways to cut costs. Also, I sure wish they would go back to regular gratuities where you could reward those who gave great service, instead of automatically being billed. And, what happened to those end-of-cruise surveys they used to push on everyone?

Someone above mentioned their disappointment in the sail away party. We were disappointed too :( I don't even think the reggae band played, did they? They just did the 3 traditional group dance songs (Cha cha slide, cupid shuffle, and something else that I can't remember but I know I danced to, LOL) We kept waiting for the typical cruise sailaway music from the band, and it never happened. Boo. I'm sure it's just another way of cutting costs.

NOTHING prevents me from having a great time! I really enjoyed the casino, karaoke (which was pretty dead compared to all other cruises I have been on, but still fun). Camp carnival was great for my kiddos and my son got to be in the Big Band show for the Candy Man number which I got a huge kick out of!

Can't wait until my next cruise...planning another one soon!

Did it appear that all the cabanas at Grand Turk were used/reserved?? I am trying to book one for our cruise in 2 weeks but when I pull it up in the excursion section, it won't let me select a passenger to purchase one. I wonder is perhaps they are sold out already.

Also, when do you get your "assignment" of which cabana you will be using?? Or do you just pick one that is available when you get there??

Thanks for your review!!

I did notice even in the club they were playing songs that people kept getting up and doing group dances to. That was a little annoying. I remember thinking I must not be up with the times beacuse it just seemed like there was a dance for alot of the songs unless the groups had their own.

I did not look at all the cabanas while we were there, but the ones surrounding us were in use. They may be sold out with only 2 weeks to go. Try giving Carnival a call.

When you arrive, you go into Margaritaville and wait at the spot where they seat people who want to eat. I had to ask a couple of people where to go. When the lady got there, she had the key and just walked us over to a cabana. She didn't ask us which one we wanted. She also took my sail and sign card to insure they get the key back at the end of the day. There was no problem getting it back, the waitress brought it over to me when we were getting ready to leave.

Awesome review...almost into double digits for our turn to go! Can you tell me where it was that you snorkeled and how the snorkeling was? Pics are great, thanks for taking the time to post all of this. I can't WAIT!!! So about the cabana at GT...nobody checked in to do head counts or anything? We have 3 adults and 3 small kids and wondering if we'd be able to get away with that.

We snorkeled in Grand Turk down the beach by Jack's Shack, but be careful there were large pieces of scrap metal in the water. Definitely wear water shoes.

As far as the cabana goes, 2 of us went to check in and the others were looking around the pool area and such. She asked me how many and I said 4. She asked if they were all there at that particualr time and I said no. She said ok and just walked me to the cabana. The only person we seen throughout the day was the waitress. We had no problems at all.

Yea we loved it. I hated the rockin and rollin though. I brought along enough medicne for everyone. LOL

I brought medice also and took it the first couple nights just in case and found myself waking up really groggy, so I stopped and luckily I was fine.

Did you hear the storm on the last night? Probably about 3 or 4 in the morning. It was pouring buckets and thunder and lightening. I was surprised because even with all that going on the ship was calmer at that time than it was all week.
