gog Posted October 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2010 I have probably done my last Carnival Cruise for a while. It wasnt terrible, just an average vacation. The food is not as good as it used to be. Service was average. Boat was average. Drink prices were pretty high. Way too many unsupervised kids in pools and hot tubs. Dinner was average at best. Only had 1 great meal in the dining room. The rest were not very good. Some food was cold when served. Our servers were fun, but they must have had too many tables to serve. The servers were starting their show and we didnt even recieve our entrees yet on one occasion. Probably not their fault. Entertainment was not good. Dont really remember any of the casino staff saying good luck. I guess thats why they dont offer comment cards anymore. All inclusive vacations for a while. MamasGoneCruisin Posted October 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2010 We actually did have a good time, but you are right about the casino workers. There was one girl and two guys that were very fun, other than that we felt we were bothering them. Funny story though, one girl was just awful, unfriendly, never smiled, real short when she spoke to you. My brother can get a laugh out of anyone, so he tries to loosen her up, to no avail. He finally switches tables, the guy working the table starts talking to him, and my brother mentions that the girl working the other table was a real "hard ass" and just rude. No comment from the dealer guy, he continues to talk, but never addresses my brothers comment. One of the workers walk by and asks the dealer something and then adds "what about your sister?" and points to the girl my brother had been complaining about!!!! Oh well ,maybe the message got to her and she is in better spirit this week! I agree to about the kids, but I blame parents for that.
