Wyndham Condado Plaza 2/11- 2/13

We booked this hotel last June through Priceline for $130/night for a precruise stay. After reading reviews, I was a bit nervous. Heard everything from horrible rooms and service to nightmare check-ins..We arrived at the hotel about 2:30 pm, check -in took all of 5 minutes, were in our very nice room in the laguna tower by 2:40, and out the door to explore by 3!! We found the service to be excellent from the bell staff, to the concierge, to the chambermaids!! We played in the casino- ate at Tony Romas..( excellent food, and reasonable prices) for dinner. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but a couple of blocks down Ashford there was a cute Mexicna place on the beach with decent breakfasts for about $5....

I would highly recommend this hotel- the pool area is lovely, beach small, but clean, and adequate! It's also a great walk to Old San Juan (about 2.5 miles) and very scenic!

I'm so glad to read your review. I too booked the Wyndam Condado through Priceline for our 4/11 cruise. Ever since, the place has been downgraded, we found out that they will not honor our Wyndham by Request, and have read a whole slew of negative reviews.

 

Did you feel that as Priceline guest you got a bad room, or a bad location? Was any mention made of the Priceline booking?
