reklawr Posted December 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2010 I have a 48 courtesy hold on a cabin on the Celebrity Web site. What is the safest way to transfer that hold to another Cruise Critic friend with out losing it? We have different TAs.
SusieV Posted December 4, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2010 I don't think you can do it as a transfer. You might have to get their TA on the line and have them waiting and then release it so they can grab the room. As far as I know you can't transfer both names on a booking. That's what I thought too SusieV. I'll just have to wait for their TA to call me.
John73 Posted December 4, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 4, 2010 My TA had told me that they can't do a direct transfer. In my case, it was the last cabin in a specific category so my TA advised me to just purchase it instead of running the risk of someone else grabbing it. I think that depends on how close you are to final payment and whether it is one of the Tuesday specials.
GERRY K Posted December 4, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2010 We did one a few months ago, you need to do a three way call with a Celebrity Travel Rep. tell them that you want to transfer the booking to your friend who is on the line, the Rep will do the rest. Good luck. It was the same situation, a AFT cabin became available.
