Copenhagen - Place to Hold Luggage for a Day??

We fly into Copenhagen at 7:30am and leave out on a cruise at 5:00pm. Does anyone know of a place to hold luggage for the day while we tour the city? I doubt the cruise line would take luggage before noon. Any help would be appreciated!

Usually train stations in the center of town have lockers that you can store them in.

Just use the luggage boxes at the central station (København H) located next to track 12.

 

The airport/Öresund train will take you directly from the airport to København H.

Thanks so much for the advice. So, once at the central station and my bags are stored, is there plenty to see and do within walking distance? Or I think I read on another thread to ride a bus around the city (the HOHO bus?). We have at least 3 hours before we would need to head to the cruise port. What is your recommendation on getting from that train station to the cruise port?

All the tourist sites are in walking location from København H.

You are in luck because its not a weekend so you can take bus number 26 from København H directly to the Freeport Terminal, the bus stop is called Kalkbrænderihavnsvej.

 

But remember to use the bus with the destination Færgehavn Nord and not Langelinie (The cruise ships) because the route splits up after Østerport.

 

The schedule from København H is on minute numbers 07-27-47 and not 17-37-57 and the bus dont departs from the regular busstops but from Vesterbrogade but its easy to find.

This trip takes around 40 minutes but will show you central Copenhagen from the window.

 

You can also take the S-train to Nordhavn and walk from there because it only takes 22 minutes.

 

 

But you can also use a combination of the S-train to Østerport and bus number 26 to the Freeport Terminal.

 

The S-train takes 6 minutes from København H to Østerport.

 

The bus departs from Østerport/Folke Bernadottes Allé at the minute numbers 06-26-46 to Færgehavn Nord

You can also use the other bus stop (Østerport st., Sløjfen) seen in the lower right corner of the terminal map at minute numbers 08-28-48, its more convenient because this bus stop is not located next to the road so the bus is stopping for a longer time.

I forgot to ad that you can see the luggage storage at the terminal card for the central station.

 

It is located at the same place as the CykelCenter and the airport train normally arrives at track 3 and 4.

Most of the 'sights' are within a mile or so radius, so it is not hard to walk around and see everything. If you like, you can write to the Copenhagen tourist bureau and ask them to send you a packet of info. We will be arriving on June 26, 2011 to cruise on MSC Poesia. We would love to hear from your expertise about how to get from the Airport /Central train station to the cruise port not using Taxi.

Because you in Copenhagen on a sunday there will be no busses to the cruise pier but there are 2 options to get from the airport to the cruise terminal.

 

1) Metro to Nørreport st. and then change for the northbound S-trains and get off at Nordhavn st.

 

From here you walk to the pier in 10 minutes time.

 

 

2) Öresund/airport train to either København H (Central Station), Nørreport or Østerport station.

 

Here you will also get on the northbound S-train and get off at Nordhavn St.

 

 

Northbound S-trains are heading for Klampenborg, Holte, Hillerød or Farum and departs every 20th minute on each line because its the sunday schedule.
