12/11 dream review..

I hope this is helpful to future Dream cruisers. Of course, these are my views and opinions as i experienced them.

embarkation and debarkation were beyond smooth. perfect. were were on at 11 and off at 8. the ship is beautiful. the colors are not over the top and the atrium is beyond description nice.

butch, the cd is, was fantastic. such high energy. that guy can get anybody to do something crazy. he had a good support staff. plenty of things to everyday.

the ship was somewhat similiar to others but has so much more to offer and a few unique features all due to its size. mid ship promenade is an area called the "lanai". its wide open area to just relax and drink anything from coffee to alcohol. you can get hand dipped ice cream and watch many events since this is a main area of the ship. karaoke, trivia, dancing etc. glass doors open up off the lanai and lead to areas with tables for card playing and eating.

this ship has a dedicated comedy club called "headliners". its hosted by the "fun dude" and has 4 comedians a week. all 4 we had this week were peeps that i had seen on tv already or were going to be on hbo.

the casino bar has flat screens and can get almost any thing broadcast. espn, espn2, local channels, etc. it was awesome to see american soorts all week if that is what you crave.

you can climb the stairs around the main pool and sit at tables to eat or watch the seaside theater. the casual dining area was pretty average but there was always a table. the deli, pasta bar, and burrito bar were popular. i loved the deli.

the spa is something that needs to be toured on day one. many things are there behind the scenes that nobody sees unless they have a special pass. steam room, hydrotherapy steam room, thermal suite, relaxation room and hugewhirlpool. i am going to get a spa suite next time. that area of the ship is just upgraded all around.

negatives, were long lines in the casual section of dining. i felt like i was in the army. and yes, if you get up at 7 am you will miss lines. l dont do that though.

not too many negatives on this cruise..there were a few crazy times that i saw and sometimes missed. the ship has an adults only area for relaxation called SERENITY. its above the spa and very nice.

Well, two women with large perfect boobs took off thier tops to sunbathe. it caused a stir with a few. also at the back pool a couple women stripped the tops off..two couples switched partners and one couple was doing umm something at the bar under towels. there was also a fight in the comedy club wich forced two security guards to stand by his door for 2 days straight, locking him in.

the dream was aweasome and i hope you all have fun.

sorry, "punchliners" is the name of the club for comedy. btw, i was in room 7237 and i dont recommend that room. the room itself is fine for what it is, an inside small cabin. the problem is location. that particular room is directly above the "encore" theater speaker system. you wouldnt think that a theater that you can enter on level 3 would be big enough to be an irritant on level 7 but it is. i could even hear bingo.

The Lido deck food was awful, we thought. It was never hot, just barely warm. We loved the deli. For some reason, we missed the pasta bar.

My hubby thinks that the stabilizers were turned off. He said someone told him that they make the ship use more fuel. That last day was pretty rough, lots of folks getting seasick. Thankfully, not us!

Butch and baby Butch were so fun. Loved the daily live show.

All in all we were pretty happy - food in the Scarlett dining room was above average, better than our last 2 Carnival cruises!
