Charges for upgrades on decks 5/6

Like many others we've paid a premium to 'upgrade' our cabin to a 5/6 outside pluse -- we only booked about a week or so ago (should have looked at the reviews first!)

 

It's now becoming clear that these are the two most affected floors, but by the time we'd found this out it was too late to reserve a cabin on the even side (which it seems is the better of a bad situation).

 

I'm really unhappy that they have taken over £400 from us to move from a fairly unaffected lower deck to the worst decks, It's no good having a bigger cabin if it's stinking and has no aircon!

 

The transatlantic crossing and the eastern Caribbean cruises had finished and started (respectively) , and the awful feedback had started before they took my extra money -- I know the caribbean is famous for Pirates, but I can't remember any called Thomson before!!
