DisneyRoe Posted January 11, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2011 Hi all- I have been a long time reader but an infrequent poster! I was wondering if you can help me. My grandparents booked a Carnival cruise through a senior center. Even though the cruise is in May, the travel agent is telling them that they have to pay in full in order to guarantee their dining preference. I have been on over 10 cruises (none with Carnival, however) and I never heard of a policy like this. Normally, I have put in my dining preference at booking and then I pay in full 30 days before. Is this a Carnival policy? Or is their travel agent trying to get their money in advance? Thanks! Roe
*Mach* Posted January 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2011 Dining preference is selected while booking and has nothing to do with final payment. The TA seems to be stretching the truth a tad... :)
DisneyRoe Posted January 11, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted January 11, 2011 Thanks. This is what I THOUGHT as well, but I am unfamiliar with Carnival's policies so I wanted to be sure before I gave them advice. Thanks!
